A three-day event held annually in August at Cherry
Springs State Park celebrates the history of logging
with on-site master carving, the Great Lakes Timber
show, lumber jack competition, horse pull competition,
ax throwing, spring board cutting and a host of other
demonstrations. Food as well as gift vendors are plentiful!

A challenging series of race events: marathon, half
marathon, and marathon relay held on the first Saturday of June. “Conquer the Hill” as you run the scenic
route from Galeton to Coudersport. Our 46th year, the
God’s Country Marathon is a qualifier for the Boston
Marathon. Starts at Galeton High School and ends at
the Coudersport Square.
