Built in 1926, Johnstown’s original
stadium had an upper deck with a
grandstand and seated 17,000 fans.
Baseball greats who played at the
Point include Satchel Paige, Jackie
Robinson, Lou Gehrig, and Babe Ruth.
Reconstructed in 2005, the stadium
hosts a variety of sporting events.
Recent replacement of turf and stadium
upgrades makes it a premier venue in
Johnstown. It was also the site of the
climactic football game in the film All
the Right Moves starring Tom Cruise,
Craig T. Nelson, and Lea Thompson.
